RAINN Supporters Day: Celebrating RAINN's Achievements

                   T-O-T-A-L-L-Y Kimleigh Smith

Living life each day as a rape survivor, was not what Kimleigh expected her journey in life to be (nor any survivor expects to take) but instead of treating it as a negative, she has turned it around and made it a positive in her life. Her determination and strength, has captured the lives of other survivors thanks to her positiveness because many survivors struggle to find any kind of hope after being victimized.

What gets Kimleigh through each day, is by encouraging other survivors to embrace their inner superhero - the strength of having control, and inspiring others to have hope. Having hope is something that survivors struggle with on a daily basis but its inspirational people like Kimleigh that reassure survivors to not let the perpetrators control their life.

       Kimleigh T-O-T-A-L-L-Y Embraces RAINN

Every survivor finds healing in their own different way, such as through reading, writing, drawing, or even physical activities, but for Kimleigh she uses her inspiration and passion in performing arts to help her. Her performances though acting and her creative skills as a writer has given her the confidence in herself to move forward and love herself for the wonderful person she is. From this realization she has created her own production known as T-O-T-A-L-L-Y. Her production T-O-T-A-L-L-Y is a one hour theatrical performance by the one and only Kimleigh Smith, which is based on her own personal experience. It is a way to teach, and support the lives of young women who have lost all sense of control and need guidance to regain it back again.

Because RAINN has helped Kimleigh with her recovery process, she likes to go the extra mile to help them by using her show, T-O-T-A-L-L-Y as a way for RAINN to receive more donations. She is constantly reaching out to survivors with her love and generosity to RAINN and if it was not for someone as inspiring as Kimleigh, then many survivors would not speak up and or those their voice that they may have gained back.
